The objective is to provide free, useful supplemental resources for children to be able to reach 3rd grade reading proficiency.

This begins from the time they are born. We thus also recommend such programs as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which provides a free book a month to a child from the time they are born to the age of five. The statistics show that, as a group, children need to reach 3rd grade reading proficiency to have equal opportunity. In general, up until the 3rd grade children are learning to read. After the 3rd grade, children are reading to learn.
